Ohio is in Trouble

The State was immediately in trouble as soon as Ka-suck was elected, by a VERY narrow margin, I might add.

Today he unveils the new budget. People are literally afraid they're going to lose their job and/or benefits. I fall into that group.

He's selling 5 prisons and closing one. Do you know how overcrowded the prisons are? The companies buying the prisons will only house as many as they were built for. I can tell you each and every prison in Ohio has many more inmates than it was designed for. Where are they going to send the overflow inmates? If they send them to the remaining prisons, which are already filled over-capacity, it's just going to start riots and put staff in danger.

I guess I'm getting ahead of the budget, but that was a budget leak that came out a couple of days ago. I suppose I'll have to wait to see if it's true.

Yes....our new govenator is wasting no time getting his cronies into office and fanagelling the budget.....

I heard that he gave himself and his staff a 30% pay increase. I don't know how true that is seeing how he would have to change the law to do that. Has anyone seen in the news where he's done that?

Heard his wife is now on state payroll because she cleans their house. When is this crud going to end? First the butthole gets money to fix and upgrade his own house because he's not staying in the govenor's mansion, and now his wife gets paid taxpayer money to clean their house which she's prob been doing for years. I can't stand this guy.

Yep, I heard the same thing, something like $60,000 a year. If I got that for cleaning a house I'd quit my full-time job, 'cause I don't make anything close to that and I'm one of those over-compensated State employees, but I'm not in the union.

Omg ! I hate it when I push the stupid button that makes my post disappear. I had this big ole paragraph and poof ! I guess if I get past so many lines I should copy it just in case. It was a good one too. I will tell you what my first line was, though. I think I should file some sort of loss of wages with the State of Ohio because I've been a stay at home mom for 13 years and I haven't seen a dime. Lol. I've cleaned, cooked, shopped, ran errands, did the household bills, etc. If she gets paid for it, then so should I. I wonder what they would think if I sent their greedy little bums an email, or certified letter asking for my due compensation? I'd get laughed at and labeled a psycho. I don't think you're over compensated whether you're in a union or not. I couldn't work where you do cause I'd probably throttle someone. I think all police, fire, prison, and ems workers should be exempt from this bill. They are the ones that look out for us. I've watched over the past 10 years as benefits and retirement have whittled away. It use to be that's why people worked in public positions. Especially police and fire. Now what is there? I think they are going to find it very hard to fill any open or new positions with less than par benefits and retirement. No one is going to want to put their lives on the line if they know that they and their families won't be taken care of if the unthinkable were to happen. I think police, fire, prison, ems, and military personnel should have no questions asked full retirement and benefits for them and their families. The pay I couldn't care less about cause if those medical benefits go up to what we're thinking they're going to, we're going to have to drop them and get medicaid at least for the kids if we can. Food, house, or doctor? Hmm... I choose food and house because we really don't get sick all too much. Then what if something catostrophic were to happen? Then take my house I guess. Then really, is the state saving money if their public workers families have to be on medicaid? Seems like the money will just be flowing out of one benefit bank to the next. What a dumb butt he is. Seriously. More people on welfare type programs is better? People filing for bankruptcy more often because of it will be better? Or will they make those laws even tighter? Well I guess that's what the govt. ultimately wants is for everyone to be dependent upon the state, and federal govt. so we can become helpless individuals that will do their bidding. Sorry that last part was my dad coming out in me lol.

Anyone see where KaSUCK hired 2 outside gambling advisement firms - both from out of State - at $400.00 an hour each? I believe the states are New Jersey and California. Great choice, New Jersey, the casinos in that state aren't doing very well.
