I hope Tressel hires a really good Offensive Coordinator. Otherwise the Ducks will be roasting his Buckeyes come New Years Day.

It's no secret that I think the weakest part of OSU football is Jim Tressel. Right now OSU is ahead of Miama 33-17 and the Bucks, despite Tressel will probably win.
I've just watched a good Miami quarterback with leg cramps pick apart OSU defense for 3 minutes because Tressel didn't order the Linebackers to blitz. That would have forced the Miami quarterback to move - which would be impossible with leg cramps.
Good thing they blocked Miami's field goal attempt.
Sheeeeesch!

Are you happy now that Tressel is gone?
Ohio State looked terrific Saturday, but they weren't really challenged now, were they? We'll see how they do, time will tell.

I think the jury is still out on whether the Buckeyes are up " to snuff". Bauserman looked good but you're right - he wasn't challenged. Game 6 and beyond will tell the tale.
I'm glad Tressel and Pryor are gone. I didn't find selling "gold pants" objectionable. Cars and money I did. Tressel was a fool and was selfish. Kids on that team that had nothing to do with this are being punished and that stinks.

Buckeyes got lucky today, almost got beat by Toledo. But I'm glad they pulled it out in the end.

I'm going to need a case of beer to get through the Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska games. These youngsters are in trouble!

Wow, did the Buckeyes look absolutely terrible last night or what? Beyond terrible - horrible! This is going to be a really long season.

They didn't look too bad yesterday, but it was Colorado so I don't know if it actually counts. But they can still use all the help they can get!

I think you're right on most counts Mickey. I was aghast at some of the coaching gaffs made, especially the decision to kick a field goal instead of going for the touch down. Against the early opponents they were pretty safe in giving up those four points but against Michigan, Wisconsin or Nebraska that could have been fatal.
All of those kids stepped up their game immeasurably over the dismal performance at Miami. I just hope they can continue to learn and improve.

I'm not holding out too much hope for the Buckeyes tonight, but I'm still going to go watch. Go Bucks!

Re: Ohio State Buckeyes
They blew such a big freakin' lead! Maybe they would have won if Miller wouldn't have broken a nail, because it certainly didn't look like he did anything too serious. I say he'll be back next game.
They looked good in the first half, but then they took a serious turn toward crap. Ugh!
I don't think Luke is gonna be the coach next year, either.

Certainly the ankle sprain hurt when Miller went out. Bauserman just doesn't have the skills. But what is scarey is the Defense.
After playing exceptionally well for three quarters the Defense just went to shit in the 4th quarter. Martinez picked them apart and Burkhead sliced through the Defense like they weren't even there.
Buckeye coaches seem to stand on the sidelines wondering what to do next.
I think I'm going to be dreading the Wisconsin and Michigan games - a total fricking bloodbath.

Some friends invited us over to the watch OSU/Michigan game this Saturday. We did the same thing last year, had a great time. Hey Blue, where are you watching the game this year? Hehe!
