I came home from work yesterday and grunt told me our female cat died. He saw her laying out in the yard, no trauma or anything. I guess we never really thought about how old she was, but we figure she was at least 12 years old, maybe a few years more.

She was a good cat, we'll miss her. Sad

Today I received a call from doggie daycare....Jager (our oldest Weim) had collapsed, they did CPR on the way to the vet, but he didn't make it. Crying or Very sad

I rushed to the vet only to get met at the door by the vet...I knew she was going to tell me smething bad.....I asked to see him...she had him on a table in a quiet room with a soft blanket over him....I held his paw and cried, kissed him on the face and told him goodbye.

I loved that dog more than anything......Morgan (my other Weim) is still not sure what is going on.....I'm just loading him with kisses.
Jag is in heaven with my mom now.....I know he will be well taken care of.

he's taking it as hard as I am.....I never thought in a million years I would get so attached to a dog...the flip side is, I know we are going to have to go through this again someday.....

Yesterday our little Bubba dog got hit by a car, he had no chance. We were in the front yard cutting and splitting wood. He was just hanging out with us like he always did. He darted out in the street, which is something he never did. The man who hit him stopped and was really, really sorry. It wasn't his fault. Grunt saw what happened and just had to walk away, he couldn't even stand to go and see him laying there. Bubba was his best buddy. Gawd, it's so hard to lose a pet! Crying or Very sad

I'm still crying today. Grunt and I had decided that after our Jacks were gone we wouldn't get any more pets. He decided he wants to get another one. Bubba was his best buddy and he says he's going to be lonely without him. Our female Jack is lonely, too, we can tell she misses him. But I hate, and I mean HATE going through this when we lose a pet.

So, if anybody knows of any Jack Russell puppies around, let me know. We've looked and there aren't any around right now.
