Thunderstorms

Those were some horrible thunderstorms last night. We actually lost power, which hasn't happened in years. It's still dark out right now, but I'm wondering how many downed trees I'm gonna see on my way to work, or maybe even in the yard.

The prison is holding it's Health & Fitness fair today. Last year the weather was beautiful! So certain committee members decided to have it in a tent this year (against the better judgment of other committee members) and the weather is shit. NOT a good idea. I hope they have a back-up plan.

Now that it got lighter out, I looked out the window and didn't see any damage or any trees down. The daughter said on her way home from work this morning she saw trees ripped out of the ground and someone's roof blew off their house. This is along SR65 north of Cairo, not Carey (reason for edit).

Another crap weather day. I got up at 5:00 this morning to thunder and lightning, just a little bit of rain. We certainly don't need anymore rain, it has nowhere to go.

[i]I am sooooooooooooooo tired of this rain....our backyard looked like a pond...now it has advanced to Lake....the grass is treading water.....if it ever drys out we are getting a load of dirt to fill it in....
Enough of the April showers....turn off the spigot.... bring out some sunshine

I feel for all of the lives lost in the recent tornadoes down south. Here's a video I watched. It's power is awesome. I've never seen anything like it. Even the tsunami's other countries have had don't look as mean and nasty as this. You guys let me know if you see anything in the tornado when the guy talks about the glass breaking, or at the very end of the video because I think it repeats. Kinda freaked me out a bit.
